In Hake’s Americana & Collectibles’ current auction, they are offering quite the selection of original comic strip art. These consist mainly of original art for daily strips, with a few Sunday pages thrown in as well.  Some of the art being offered in Hake’s auction includes art for such well-known strips as Mutt and Jeff, Blondie, Pogo, Garfield, Doonesbury, as well as historic Li’l Abner strip art by Al Capp featuring the second appearance of the Shmoo, a gorgeous Winnie Winkle Christmas Sunday page, a historic Barney Google strip featuring an early Spark Plug race, and original Wayne Boring Superman daily strip art.
