Marvel Comics; $2.99

Why is this series so insanely good? First, you don’t have read 27 other titles to know what’s going on. Second, it takes a slate of 1950s characters that could as best be called “second tier” and turns them into a dynamic cast without wiping out what’s gone before. Third, it’s got a talking gorilla and a killer robot (what’s not to love there?). And fourth, and most importantly, the story has been consistently compelling since the first issue.

In part two of “Terror of the Jade Claw,” Jimmy Woo’s former love, Suwan, niece of the Yellow Claw, is now known as the Jade Claw, and she’s all business. That business, it appears, is killing Jimmy Woo and eliminating the Agents of Atlas
