Pedigree Sets Follow-Up to Record Auction
Hot on the heels of its record $1.1 million auction that ended on August 25, 2009, Pedigree Comics is gearing up for its upcoming Grand Auction in November.
The live, time-based, internet only auction will run as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics site and will feature hundreds of new CGC certified high grade Silver and Bronze Age Marvels plus an incredible group of 9.8 and 9.6 Gold Keys from the 1960s and early 1970s.
“This group represents the absolute finest collection of Silver Age and Bronze Age Gold Keys ever assembled and offered for sale, and includes many #1 and first appearance issues from the popular TV and photo cover genre. There are many choice Dell Comics in the collection as well and almost every book constitutes the highest grade so far given by the graders at the CGC,” Pedigree’s Doug Schmell told Scoop. “There are approximately 100 comics in this amazing collection and all the mainstream titles are included. Please check our site and Scoop in the following weeks for all the details.”
Pedigree Comics is now accepting consignments for the November Grand Auction. The sooner the books are consigned the more press and promotion they will receive. Pedigree markets and advertizes its Grand Auction services to its over 15,000 customer base and the entire comic book collecting community worlwide and offers very aggressive cash advances for all quality material.
Please contact Doug Schmell at (561) 422-1120 or (561) 596-9111 or email him at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com for any questions, comments or information about the consigning and cash advance process.
“Remember, the higher the value of your comic(s) that sell in the auction the more moneyyou take home under Pedigree’s Climbing Scale,” Schmell said. “Pedigree consistently sets new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age Marvels in each Grand Auction. Why settle for less by consigning with someone else?”
Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy to do: Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload scans of your own CGC certified comics and magazines. Pedigree Comics will receive an email automatically once you have uploaded the information and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the November Grand Auction to be bid on.
