Anaheim: Batman, Robin and Catwoman
TV’s original Batman, Robin and Catwoman – actors Adam West and Burt Ward and actress Julie Newmar – will appear at the inaugural edition of the Anaheim Comic Con April 16-18, 2010 at the AnaheimConvention Center.
The show is produced by Wizard’s Gareb Shamus.
“I’m looking forward to seeing as many of my ‘Batties’ as possible from coast to coast next year at all the Wizard-run Comic Con shows across the country,’ said Adam West. “I will have all the information up on my site www.adamwest.com in early 2010. It will be great to see my fellow co-stars, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar in Anaheim. I’m working with my friends at Wizard to make each appearance a special one for my Bat-fans. Hope to see you all there.”
“Watching all the Batman episodes growing up was my first exposure to superheroes. I was hooked right away, and can honestly say I am ecstatic to have these three historically significant actors at our inaugural Comic Con in Anaheim,” said Shamus.
Anaheim Comic-Con attendees can now get their tickets by calling (866) 882-5860 or going online at www.wizardworld.ticketleap.com/anaheim. Advance purchasers will save up to 15% on tickets (tickets are $5 more at the door). All the event information is available at www.wizardworld.com.
Companies such as Upper Deck and Disney’s Kingdom Comics have already committed to attend, and Powers creator Brian Michael Bendis has signed on as a “special guest.” Further details are pending.
Anaheim joins Chicago, Philadelphia (Wizard World Philadelphia), New York (Big Apple Con) and the recently-purchased Toronto event as comic conventions produced by Shamus.
