Dracula Returns in Stoker-Endorsed Sequel

Over the course of the last century or so, author Bram Stoker’s Dracula has inspired countless adaptations, prequels and sequels. These days, of course, vampire stories are the hot ticket, with novels, TV shows, movies and comic books drinking deeply of the genre.

In November 2009, AAM/Markosia Enterprises will return to the source material in unique fashion when it releases From The Pages Of Bram Stoker’s Dracula: Harker, the first graphic novel sequel to receive an endorsement from a member of the Stoker family.

The new story is written by Tony Lee (Doctor Who, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies) and illustrated by the art team of Neil Van Antwerpen and Peter-David Douglas (Starship Troopers), and it features what the publisher describes as “a faithful return to the original characters, set six months on from the Count’s grizzly death, and six months before the birth of Jonathan and Mina’s son, Quincey.”

In addition to the story, which pits the vengeance of the last remaining ‘Bride of Dracula,’ the Countess Dracule, against Harker and friends, From The Pages Of Bram Stoker’s Dracula: Harker features three introductions including one from noted Sherlock Holmes and vampire scholar Leslie S. Klinger, and one each from Ian Holt and Dacre Stoker (Bram Stoker’s great-grand nephew), authors of the official Dracula sequel, Dracula: The Un-Dead.

From The Pages Of Bram Stoker’s Dracula: Harker is a 128 page, full color graphic novel, available in November 2009. A 22-page preview is available to view online.
