IDW Publishing and Desperado have announced a publishing agreement under which Desperado will publish its products as an imprint of IDW.

Desperado was founded five years ago by Negative Burn editor Joe Pruett, who had launched the original version of the critically praised anthology at Caliber in the 1990s. In addition to comics and graphic novels such as the recent Sabre re-issue, Desperado has published art books like The Art of P. Craig Russell and The Art of Joe Jusko.

Image Comics published Desperado’s titles from 2004 to 2007, and then the company solicited under its own banner.
