Devil’s Due Publishing; $3.99

Fans of the TV series Jericho rescued it after it was canceled following its first season by deluging CBS with peanuts (based on a historic reference offered during the show’s cliffhanger last episode that season). Then it was torpedoed by both the network’s scheduling and the strike by the Writers Guild, giving its short, second season the shaft. It was canceled again, but there were still stories to tell.

Now the show’s writers are delivering Season 3 in comic book form, and the action continues from right where Season 2 left off. Jake Green and Robert Hawkins have arrived in the relatively safe haven of Texas, but all is far from finished.

As fans of the show, we’re delighted to see it continue in this fashion. The first issue whetted our appetites for more, which is pretty much what a good first issue is supposed to do.
