As usual, some interesting goings on in the realm of eBay. They ranged from original comic art to Green Lantern comic books…
The original artwork for the 1969 Archies lunchbox sold for $1,200, the original Jack Kirby art for Star Wars trading card (created for the Star Wars Galaxy II set by Topps) went for $8,000 after just one bid, and a beautiful P. Craig Russell Sandman piece from Sandman: Dream Hunters closed at $1,782 after 20 bids.
The Corgi gift set feature John Steed’s and Emma Peel’s cars from The Avengers sold for $345 after 25 bids, and Steed’s cane, which concealed a play sword, sold for £350 (about $700 or more) in the UK after four bids.
A 1977 Abba lunch box received 10 bids en route to selling for $510.
A restored CGC 9.0 copy of the Golden Age Green Lantern #1 sold for $11,999 using the Buy It Now option. The first Silver Age appearance of Green Lantern, in Showcase #22, a CGC 6.5, sold for $5,000 after one bid. Other Silver Age appearances of the character were in demand, too, as a CGC 8.5 copy of Green Lantern #76 sold for $899.99 after one bid while a CGC 9.4Green Lantern #87 brought in $448.99 after 14 bids.
