Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can… and if he wants to collect Amazing Spider-Man #1-300 this weekend’s Sunday Internet Comic Auction from Heritage Auction Galleries might just make a very good place to start.

Every Amazing Spider-Man issue from #1-300 is in this week’s auction, so whether your preference is Ditko, Romita, McFarlane or any of the other great artists who’ve worked on the series, it’s like one-stop shopping.

The auction also has 20 lots of DC war books, nice copies of some humor books “inspired by MAD,” and a total of 747 lots, all of which conclude Sunday evening, December 13, 2009 at 10 PM CT.

As we’ve mentioned many times, these Sunday auctions always have a surprise or too and generally seem to offer something for everyone. This one, though, is packed with surprises include Strange Tales #89 CGC 7.5, Green Lantern #76 CGC 8.5, The Incredible Hulk #181 CGC 8.5, Mister Miracle #11 CGC 9.8, X-Men #94 CGC 9.2, and Mister Mystery #12 CGC 5.0.

In the realm of original comic book and comic strip art, there are also some prizes, including Dik Browne’s Hagar the Horrible Sunday strip dated 10-28-79, an undated Joe Jusko Spider-Man painting, a Tim Truman illustration of Starslayer and Grimjack, and John Romita Jr. and Al Williamson’s original for Spider-Man #64 page 12.
