Overstreet #40 Ad Deadline One Month Away
The deadline for ad reservations for The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #40 will be Friday, January 22, 2010. That’s just a month away now! The final deadline for receiving all ad materials will be Monday, February 2, 2010.
The landmark 40th anniversary edition will be released in comic book shops and at Comic-Con International: San Diego on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. This edition marks the first time that customers of Diamond Comic Distributors can pay for their full-page, half-page, quarter-page and Business Card ads in the Guide by simply adding them to their DCD invoices.

The price for a full page B&W ranges from $900 to $1,080, depending on placement, and a full page color ad is $2,500. Discounts of 10% remain available for three or more ads of the same size and type. Half Page B&W ads run $600, Quarter Page B&W ads are $400, and the business card spots are $125.
Businesses that have accounts with Diamond Comic Distributors can simply fill out the forms with their DCD account numbers and fax them to (410) 252-6148. If you would like to pay by check, Visa or MasterCard, please contact us.

The form for the Overstreet Directory Listings is available for dowload as a PDF. Directory Listings are $60 for a single listing, $54 each for three or more, and just $40 for all Comic Shop Locator Service member stores. Additionally All full page advertisers receive a free Directory Listing.
The deadline for Directory Listing Forms is Monday, February 2, 2010. If your form is received after that date, it will not be included in the 40th anniversary edition of the Guide.

BATMAN COVER FOR CBPG#40
Last week it was announced that acclaimed artist Mark Chiarello will provide a Batman cover as one of the covers for the 40 anniversary edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide.
Known for his inspired Star Wars images and innovative work covering the history of the Negro Leagues, Chiarello has illustrated covers for Vertigo’s Terminal City, Jonny Double and The Crusaders, Marvel’s Wolverine and The Many Armors of Iron Man, and DC’s Vigilante, among other projects.
His long association with Batman includes covers for the Two-Face: Year One mini-series and both the cover and interiors on the highly-praised graphic novel Batman/Houdini: The Devil’s Workshop.
Most recently Chiarello has been celebrated as the editor of DC’s highly praised Wednesday Comics project. He serves as DCU Editorial Art Director for DC Comics.
He joins the ranks of Guide cover artists that include Joe Kubert, Will Eisner, Carl Barks, Bill Ward, Joe Simon, Wally Wood, Alex Schomburg, Norman Mingo, C.C. Beck, Jerry Robinson, Murphy Anderson, Carmine Infantino, Tony Harris, John K. Snyder III, Alex Ross, George Perez, Mark Sparacio, Jim Lee and Billy Tucci, among others.
