Image Comics; $2.99

Artist (and Image co-founder) Whilce Portacio’s new character, Fortress, has been front and center in the first two issues of Image United. Now in Image United #0 readers get to know a little bit more about this mysterious, new, young hero.  It seems that he’s trapped in the suit that gives him his incredible powers, and he’s definitely not fully in control of the situation (or himself). Being a superhero comic, when he meets up with the Savage Dragon for the first time it’s fairly predictable that confusion will lead to conflict. That said, for those enjoying the Image United mini-series, this is a must read.
