We’ve spent a lot of time the last few months talking about The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, which was first released back in 1970. Did you know that its first two print runs totaled just 1,800 copies? That’s right! 1,000 copies were printed for the first edition (which featured a white cover) and 800 more were added for the second printing (which sported a blue cover). There were also several corrections made to the second printing as well before its release.

And for you collectors out there, based on what we’ve seen, probably no more than 10% of those 1,800 copies are still in existence as we celebrate the Guide’s 40th anniversary this year!
