The Hobbit Three-peats at Theaters
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey held onto the top spot at U.S. movie theaters over the December 28-30, 2012 weekend – giving it three in a row – with ticket sales of $31.9 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
It was followed by Django Unchained ($30.1 million), Les Miserables ($27.2 million), Parental Guidance ($14.5 million) and Jack Reacher ($13.6 million) to round out the top five.
