The original 1966 Batmobile designed by George Barris is one of the – if not the – most widely recognized vehicles in television and movie history, and it goes on the auction block on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Since it was adapted for the popular television program Batman, this 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car has been a part of Barris’ personal collection. He purchased it from the Ford Motor Company for $1. Call us crazy, but we bet it goes for more than that.
