September 21-22: Philly Non-Sports Card Show
The Philly Non-Sports Card Show, which has been running since the 1980s, will return with its 59th edition on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, 2013, at the Merchants Square Mall, 1901 South 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103.
This time, Topps returns to the Philly Show and will present a special Garbage Pail Kids panel at the Non-Sport Update Card Talk member gathering on Sunday morning (pre-registration required). The company has a number of Garbage Pail Kids projects in the works and is expected to showcase them.
The exhibiting artists at the 59th show are coming from far and wide (including Kansas and the state of Washington) to meet with collectors, including Brent Engstrom,
Charles Hall, Gary Kezele, Brian Kong, Steven Miller, and Scott Rorie.
Promotional trading cards will be given to attendees while supplies last for trading cards series such as Castle, James Bond, Legendary Lovecraft, Firebreathers, Classic Mythology, and many more titles. Collectors are encouraged to bring their unusual items for evaluation and possible placement in a future Lelands.com auction.
Many trading card manufacturers will be exhibiting including 258 West Authentic Signatures, Asylum Studios, Breygent Marketing, Cryptozoic Entertainment, Lelands.com, Non-Sport Update, Rittenhouse Archives, SideKick, Topps, and Wax Eye.
Admission to the Philly Non-Sports Card Show is just $8 daily. A two-day pass may be purchased for $12. Show hours are Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM. Complete show details can be found on Non-Sport Update’s website.
