Superworld Comics Offers Larry Lynksi Collection
Superworld Comics is offering comics from the collection of Golden Age enthusiast Larry Lynksi.
“We are very happy to get the books, of course, but it’s always a little sad to see the breaking up of a wonderful comic book collection that someone spent a lifetime procuring,” said Superworld’s Ted VanLiew.
“We would like to take a moment to commemorate Larry Lynksi, a connoisseur of fine Golden Age books and a meticulous collector. Larry kept a “Lynski Collection” sheet with most books that he purchased, noting the date, the purchase price and the vendor. His focus was on Golden Age Fawcett titles, but he also loved a wide range of books, and over the years he picked up a lot of scarce and fairly obscure books such as Timelys, Atlas, DCs, and Marvel romance books, pre-hero and pre-code Atlas, and pockets of other interesting rarities,” he said.
“He was an unassuming fellow, a gentle soul, and we hope that if you do obtain a Lynski book you will keep the provenance page to remember the guy who collected it many years ago,” he said.
