The latest Tuesday-closing round of auctions at eMoviePoster.com features 736 window cards, pressbooks and oversized items of all sorts.

“This auction is different from many of our weekly auctions in that there is a huge amount of 1930s and 1940s material in it, including items from movies where virtually nothing can be found,” said eMoviePoster.com’s Bruce Hershenson. “Of course, there is also a fair amount of 1950s to present material, but those who like older material will love this auction!”

Among the top selections offered this time are the window cards for I’m No Angel (Mae West and Cary Grant) and Yankee Doodle Dandy (James Cagney), the pressbooks for The Prisoner Of Zenda (Ronald Colman and Madeleine Carroll) and Sherlock Holmes & The Secret Weapon (Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce), and a limited edition English special 14”x 20” image of Daniel Craig as James Bond in Skyfall.

Also up for bid are the 1982 campaign book for Walt Disney (including Tron, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Tex and others), the 1932-33 campaign book for RKO Radio Pictures (including King Kong and others), the pressbooks for Josef von Sternberg’s Scarlet Empress (Marlene Dietrich) and Shanghai Express (also with Marlene Dietrich), Captain From Castile (Tyrone Power, Jean Peters and Cesar Romero), Cecil B. DeMille’s The Plainsman (Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur), and a special 11” x 17” poster for the 1978 reissue of George Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead.

The wide selection of window cards includes ones for a Thunderball and From Russia With Love double-bill (Sean Connery as 007 in both), John Sturges’ The Great Escape (Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson), Howard Hawks’ Rio Bravo (John Wayne, Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin and Walter Brennan), Anthony Mann’s The Man From Laramie (Jimmy Stewart), Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita (Anita Ekberg), Sergio Leone’s A Fistful Of Dollars (Clint Eastwood), and Henry Hathaway’s True Grit (John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell).

The window card offerings also include A Man’s Castle (Spencer Tracy and Loretta Young), Funny Face (Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire), The Sons Of Katie Elder (John Wayne and Dean Martin), Souls At Sea (Gary Cooper, George Raft and Frances Dee), Artists & Models (Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis and Shirley MacLaine), Son Of Paleface (Roy Rogers, Trigger, Bob Hope and Jane Russell), Saludos Amigos (Donald Duck and Joe Carioca), Behind Office Doors (Mary Astor and Ricardo Cortez), Yellow Dust (Richard Dix), Johnny Cash, Background To Danger (George Raft, Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre), Cleopatra (“tickets on sale now”), Naked Alibi (Gloria Grahame), Hell’s Highway, Bill Of Divorcement (John Barrymore and Katharine Hepburn), White Angel (Kay Francis as Florence Nightingale), The Lodger (Laird Cregar, George Sanders and Merle Oberon), Varsity (Charles Buddy Rogers, Mary Brian and Chester Conklin), The Corpse Came C.O.D. (Joan Blondell, George Brent and Adele Jergens), Rosemary’s Baby (Mia Farrow), and Night Of The Hunter (Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters and Charles Laughton).

In the previous Tuesday-closing sessions, which featured folded one-sheets, Dracula’s Daughter sold for $610, the Spanish-US Affair In Trinidad closed at $495, and the 1947 reissue of The Thief Of Bagdad realized $445.

“We would like Scoop readers to know that all of the 110,000+ items we auction each year come to us from collectors and dealers all over the world.
