Scream Award-winning creator James Kuhoric has joined the guest roster of the November 23-24, 2013 edition of the long-running Virginia Comicon. The two-day version of the show returns that Saturday and Sunday at the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond International Raceway, 600 East Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222.

Kuhoric, who scored multiple printings with Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, scored with Army of Darkness fans with his Dynamite series, and created both Dead Irons and Legendary Talespinners, is now Vice-President of Avatar Press.

He joins a guest roster headed by Youngblood and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. And now it looks like Liefeld will be getting some company at the show with superfan Eddie Newsome, in the form of Wade Wilson, better known as Deadpool.

“If you’ve seen him in costume, you know he looks spectacular,” said show promter Brett Carreras. “And he really stays in character!”

Also on board will be Incredible Hulk artist and Wolverine co-creator Trimpe, Top Cow Productions President Matt Hawkins, G.I. Joe creators Larry Hama, Herb Trimpe and SL Gallant, acclaimed Archie writer-artist Dan Parent, Bloop! writer-artist Steve Conley, Archer lead character designer Sam Ellis, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe artist Pop Mhan, and former CGC President (and current Senior Consignment Director for Heritage Auctions) Steve Borock, and Scoop’s own J.C.Vaughn, among others.

The convention will have three show exclusive variant covers — G.I. Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony — for what looks to be the biggest Virginia Comicon ever. This location has free parking, and it offers overnight RV hookups for $25. Hotels in the area average less than $60.

Additional information on the show will be available soon, but in the meantime you can check their site for the full guest list, tickets, special signings and other opportunities, and more.
