Recent prices of note include $112,015 for Curt Swan’s historic cover art for Action Comics #309, $43,320 for a pair of pages by Jack Kirby depicting Captain America’s origin from Captain America #109, $26,565 for George Herriman’s original art for an early Krazy Kat Sunday page, and $18,658 for a complete Graham Ingles EC Comics story.
A German Mickey Mouse mechanical bank sold for $28,750, a Mickey Mouse organ grinder boxed wind-up toy realized $27,830, and a rare pair of Mickey and Minnie Mouse Needleart dolls went for $25,047.
A rare 1920 jugate campaign button featuring Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge sold for an impressive $29,601 and an equally rare 1920 jugate campaign button featuring James M. Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt realized $27,551.
A button set that performed strongly in our last auction was a complete 1969 Marvelmania Marvel Comics superhero set featuring Jack Kirby art that sold for $7,475.
In another recent sale, a 1910 Punch Cigarros John Henry “Pop” Lloyd baseball card from the Richard Merkin Collection sold for $94,875.
