Comic Book Certification Service (CBCS) will be set up and taking submissions for certification at Wizard World Chicago at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois this weekend, August 22-24, 2014. The show kicked off on Thursday, August 21.

“It’s CBCS’s first giant convention since our inception in early July,” Steve Borock, the company’s President and Primary Grader, said.

Borock and the CBCS crew will be on hand to take submissions and meet with fellow hobbyists to talk comics and answer questions about their service.

“We are really looking forward to going to this show,” he said “Chicago has always been one of my favorite conventions, even when I was just a young collector. I also look forward to the large dinner at Gibson’s on Saturday evening! The dinner has been going strong since, I believe, 2002 and it’s a place where veteran hobbyists, such as Maggie Thompson, Gary Colabuono, Michele Nolan, and others, as well as collectors who are new to the hobby and many who have been around for a while show up,” he said.

“In the past, we have had Neal Adams and his wife Marilyn, Joe Jusko, Don Rosa, Rich Koslowski, and other great artists join us as well. The dinner is just such a great time!”

CBCS will be taking regular submissions, submissions for the CBCS Authentic Signature Program (ASP), as well as submissions for their new service, the CBCS Verified Signature Program (VSP).

CBCS will be set up at booth #229.
