Bob Kane File Copies Sold at ComicConnect

The presence of early file copies of Detective Comics and Batman from the Caped Crusader’s creator, Bob Kane, in ComicConnect’s Event Auction that closed August 25-29, 2014 attracted plenty of media attention.

Kane’s file copy of Detective Comics #31, a CBCS-certified 0.5, sold for $15,200 to lead the group.

Among the other sales from the set were Detective Comics #35 CBCS 0.5 $6,400, #36 CBCS 0.5 $6,060, #28 CBCS 0.5 $5,057, #40 CBCS 0.5 $4,200, Batman #3 CBCS 0.5 $3,800, and #2 CBCS 0.5 $3,501.

As we reported last week, the auction also included the sale of the CGC 9.2 Northland pedigree copy of Incredible Hulk #1 for $326,000.
