Milestones at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum
Geppi’s Entertainment Museum is currently running one of the most successful exhibits it has hosted since its inception with Milestones: African Americans in Comics, Pop Culture and Beyond. Curated by Milestone Media’s Michael Davis and co-curated by Tatiana El-Khouri, the exhibit presents a full spectrum of Black historic contributions made throughout comic book and graphic novel history.
The event grew from initial conversations between Geppi’s Entertainment Museum President Melissa Bowersox and Davis over three years ago while discussing the need to showcase the many talented artists, writers, and creators in the African-American community. The event was initially scheduled to run through April 30, 2014 but as a result of the exhibit’s popularity has been extended to December 31, 2014.
If you haven’t made it to GEM to enjoy the Milestones exhibit yet, or would like to enjoy it again, head down to historic Camden Yards at 301 West Camden Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
