Rainbow Brite Reboot Gets a Trailer
With the success of other recently rebooted cartoons from the 1980s, it seemed only a matter of time before Rainbow Brite got the same treatment. A trailer for the upcoming series, which will be distributed exclusively by Feeln, was released on October 13.
The style and tone of the trailer are very much in line with other rebooted cartoons, such as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Rainbow Brite looks to be entertaining enough for new young audiences while nostalgic enough for those who grew up with the original.
While the original animated series consisted of only 13 half-hour episodes and a movie, Rainbow Brite continues to be referenced in pop culture today, including multiple Robot Chicken appearances, so it’s no surprise that the colorful character would come back strong. The new series debuts on Feeln on November 6, 2014.
