April 10-12: Steel City Con
Steel City Con is already gearing up for an incredible show next spring on April 10-12, 2015. Held at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, PA the show houses over 100,000 square feet of convention space with 750 vendor tables.
Media guests include Noah Wyle (ER, Falling Skies), Tom Wopat (The Dukes of Hazzard), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Ray Park (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace), Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos), Gates McFadden (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Daniel Logan (Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones), Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), and Linda Harrison (Planet of the Apes).
Artists at the show include James O’Barr (creator of The Crow), Dusty Catlett (chalk artist), Taylor Cottingham (freelance artist), C.J. Edwards (photographer), Heather V. Kreiter (fantasy illustrator), Brian Middleton (creator-artist Adventures in Isme), and James O’Barr (graphic artist).
Among the events at the show are a costume contest, celebrity Q&As, panels, and a Blast-a-Trooper for charity dart gun challenge with the Garrison Carida Star Wars cosplayers. The show hours have been extended, now running 10 AM to 9 PM Friday, 10 AM to 8 PM Saturday, and 10 AM to 5 PM Sunday. Visit steelcitycon.com for more details.
