The new trailer opens with a scene of crumbling, urban chaos and Hawkeye shepherding the masses to safety. This leads to an Iron Man voiceover explaining that, “This vulnerable world needs something more powerful than any of us.”

Then comes glimpses of haggard Avengers and a scene in which an unsettled Bruce Banner recognizes the rotted-shell of Ultron who is very clearly in control. The second trailer features more of Bruce Banner and his alter ego the Hulk than the first trailer. Banner is seen fighting off the change into Hulk, and Hulk is shown presumably connecting with Black Widow and partaking in a giant sized fight with Tony Stark in Hulkbuster Armor.

Scarlet Witch appears throughout the trailer several times using her reality altering powers in ominous fashion. Other scenes that flash through the trailer include a younger looking Black Widow being forced onto a gurney, another glimpse of Andy Serkis who fans speculate is playing Ulysses Klaw (viewers may notice a claw pendant around his neck), and more Avenger on Avenger fighting. There’s also a mystery woman by a lake, Cap and Thor both taking their lumps, and a longer clip of Nick Fury than was in the first trailer.

There’s no sweet child’s voice singing in the background of this trailer, but that’s not to say that the slow melody playing behind all of the destruction isn’t ominous and a bit disturbing. The trailer dropped on Monday, January 12, 2015 and as of early Tuesday morning it had already accumulated almost three million views on YouTube.
