Everyman actor Taylor Negron recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. His cousin Chuck Negron confirmed his passing. Negron was 57 years-old.

His career spanned over 35 years with 128 film and TV credits. Negron memorably appeared in Amy Heckerling’s 1982 cult classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High as the pizza guy who interrupted Mr. Hand’s class to deliver a pizza to burnout Jeff Spicoli. In 2012 he did a cameo in Heckerling’s horror-comedy Vamps, also as a pizza guy. He starred in The Last Boy Scout in 1991 as the crazy-eyed villain opposite Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans.

His TV credits include starring in the 1979 show Detective School, as well as appearing in Falcon Crest, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Seinfeld, Party of Five, The Practice, ER, Friends, The Hughleys, So Little Time, and Legion of Super Heroes. His film roles include Easy Money, Better Off Dead…, Nothing But Trouble, Angels in the Outfield, Bio-Dome, Stuart Little, The In Crowd, Surf School, and he just finished Alienated.

In addition to acting he was also a stand-up comic and a regular in the Los Angeles comedy scene. Negron started doing stand-up comedy in high school and interned for Lucille Ball when he was 19 years-old.

“I look at my alternative everyman predicament this way. By letting go of what you thought was going to happen in your life, you can enjoy what is actually happening. That is what I do. I’m That Guy,” he wrote in an essay for XOJane.
