The Jersey Shore Comic Book Show will return to the Toms River Elks Lodge and will feature more than 20 guest artists, writers and creators of comics. The show will take place on March 15, 2015 from 10 AM to 4 PM and is located at 600 Washington Street in Toms River.

Artists featured at this show include Alexander Simmons, Rusty Gilligan, Bob Petrecca, Joe DelBeato, Howard Bender, and Eric Cooper, among others. Many vendors will also be on hand selling comics dating from the Golden Age to present, as well as toys, action figures, and other collectibles.

The 501st Legion, a national Star Wars costuming group that interacts with fans and is involved with a number of children’s charities, will also be there. They will have Stormtroopers and even Darth Vader present at the show. Also appearing at the show is the titular feline from the comic strip Mac and Trouble by Rusty Gilligan, who will be available for photographs throughout the day.

Because the show is two days before St. Patrick’s Day, the show will be celebrating the “Wearin’ of the Green” as well as holding a “leprechaun contest” with prizes for the best dressed leprechauns. There will also be a cosplay contest; adults and children can participate in either competition. There will also be drawings throughout the day for prizes and “show cash” that can be used for purchases at the show.

Admission for adults is $3, or $1 if in costume, and children under 12 get in free. More information can be found at the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show website.
