Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is devoted to the famous artists from film, television, music, and radio. Celebrities are awarded stars on the Walk of Fame, a tradition dating back to the late 1950s-early 1960s.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2015 the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Batman creator Bob Kane will be added to the Walk of Fame. The posthumous star is being awarded to Kane in the category of Motion Pictures for the Dark Knight’s contribution to film as one of the most beloved characters to crossover from comics to movies. Batman will also be awarded in the Guinness World Records for “Most Film Adaptations of a Comic Book Character.”

The ceremony will be held on October 21 at 11:30 AM PT, at 6764 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA in front of the Guinness World Record Museum. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder and DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee will serve as guest speakers. The Batmobile from Batman v Superman will also be there.

Unique giveaways will be distributed to fans who attend the ceremony and costumes are encouraged, particularly Batman and Batman-related characters. Since all of Kane’s fans won’t be able to attend the ceremony, it will live-stream on walkoffame.com. Be sure to visit the website to learn more about the ceremony.
