Spectre Music Featurette Released
A new featurette on the upcoming Bond film, Spectre, has been released. It focuses on the music of the film, particularly on singer/songwriter Sam Smith, who collaborated with Jimmy Napes to pen the theme for Spectre, called “Writing’s on the Wall.” The YouTube clip, which features both Smith and a number of other people who worked on the film directly, can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Bond fans currently have a lot to look forward to besides the film, as Hake’s Americana has a number of unique 007-related items in their current auction. One such item is the B.A.R.K., or “Bond’s Assault Raider Kit.” It was released in 1966 and features toy cap guns and a “rocket launcher” in addition to the rest of the display box. Bond toy collectors specifically will also find a “Secret Agent Radio Trap” set, a Bond Sharpshooter set, and a “Secret Agent 007” cap pistol in the auction.
James Bond has also used a variety of memorable vehicles over his many stories, and one of them made an appearance in the 1965 film, Thunderball. One of the other items at Hake’s is a replica of the underwater hydro sled seen in the film, which featured Sean Connery in the lead role. The vehicle is powered by rubber bands and has a spinning propeller that pushes it through water.
There’s also an Official James Bond 007 Secret Agent Thunder Blaster air rifle at Hake’s. The box features photos of Roger Moore as Bond, including one with fan-favorite villain Jaws. The box also includes a “Target Game” to be cut out and used with the gun itself.
Spectre sees a worldwide release on November 6, 2015, just a week before Hake’s auction ends on November 12 – so not only is there time left to get tickets, but there’s still plenty of time to get bids in.
