Film critic and historian Leonard Maltin has written several books about the chronology of the film industry. His first book was published in 1970 and his most recent volume was in 2010. Unfortunately, some of the books have been out of print for years. But, now they are available as e-books and print on demand volumes through Amazon Kindle.

The earliest title is Selected Short Subjects, which was originally published as The Great Movie Shorts in 1971.
