Special Edition of Street Fighter Comic Goes Digital
UDON Entertainment has joined forces with digital comics studio Visionborne to produce a special release of Street Fighter Origin: Akuma. The series is featured in the Visionbooks platform that will showcase the movement that Street Fighter fans have come to expect from the characters.
Visionbooks transforms two-dimensional comic books into a 3D digital animation experience by combining traditional art with new technology. The special effects enhancements are present throughout the book, which highlights one of the franchise’s most popular villains, Akuma.
“We are really impressed with the atmospheric effects that Visionborne can apply to comics,” UDON Entertainment founder Erik Ko said. “It works perfectly in the world of Street Fighter and does a brilliant job of capturing the intensity of each scene.”
The first issue can be found at the Visionbooks website.
