999 International Posters in eMoviePoster Auction
The newest eMoviePoster auction, featuring 999 non-U.S. posters from 29 different countries, is now open for bids. These items close on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 and can be viewed at www.emovieposter.com.
French posters are Lawrence of Arabia with great art of Peter O’Toole, Mon Oncle for the 1970s rerelease, Little Mermaid advance for the 1998 rerelease, Son of Captain Blood featuring art by Jean Mascii, and Le Petit Soldat featuring Vaissier art.
British quads include Man Who Fell to Earth depicting David Bowie, Return of the Jedi with different art by Kirby, Alfie showing Michael Caine, Guilty Party for the Edgar Lustagarten film, Raiders of the Lost Ark showing Harrison Ford, Breaker Morant with Brian Bysouth art, Flight of the Phoenix with Thurston art, Back to the Future II teaser, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior with Mel Gibson, and Cabaret showing Liza Minnelli.
Japanese highlights are Kiki’s Delivery Service style A teaser, Double Indemnity for the Billy Wilder film, Empire Strikes Back teaser with Ohrai art, Enter the Dragon for the Bruce Lee classic, Star Wars with Tom Jung art, Live & Let Die showing James Bond, One Hundred & One Dalmatians for the Walt Disney classic, and For Your Eyes Only style A with art by Noguchi.
Additional international examples include Russian Bellissima with image of Anna Magnani, Polish Czterej Pancerni I Pies with Marian Stachurski art and No End with wild Andrzej Pagowski art, Spanish Blind Dead with creepy image and The Good, the Bad & the Ugly for the 1970s rerelease, Belgian Reptilicus showing the giant lizard and Funny Face featuring Audrey Hepburn, East German Aquanauts with Herrmann art of the fish, Italian Suspiria photobusta for the Dario Argento film, German Dune for the David Lynch sci-fi epic, Lebanese Planet of Dinosaurs with art by Tino Aller, Swedish Creepshow stolpe for the George Romero and Stephen King hit and Where Eagles Dare with different art, and Turkish Jaws with great shark art.
Three surprising results from the auction that closed on September 4 were Dr. No lobby card #4 for $625, What! No Beer? lobby card for $613, and Pass The Gravy lobby card for $466.
