Marvel, Netmarble Collaborate on Open World Game

Marvel and Netmarble have collaborated on a new mobile game, and new details about the title were revealed at PAX East. Called Marvel Future Revolution, the game is Marvel’s first open world game on mobile devices.

Future Revolution begins with multiple Earths converging across dimensions in order to create a new “Primary Earth,” with players taking on the role of an agent of the newly-formed “Omega Flight” team to battle villains. Confirmed playable characters so far include Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man, with villains including Baron Mordo, Green Goblin, Red Skull, and others.

“For fans that have dreamed of exploring the Marvel Universe in a sprawling, open world setting, Marvel Future Revolution gives players the chance to not only journey through these strange new locations, but also customize their favorite Heroes into never before seen costume combos,” said Bill Rosemann, VP and Head of Creative at Marvel Games, in a statement. “We’re excited to be working with Netmarble once again after nearly five years of continued success with Marvel Future Fight, and look forward to Marvel Future Revolution providing countless hours of fun for players to battle alongside their friends and save our universe.”
