The Batman Who Laughs and the other evil Batmen are at the center of a new board game, inspired by the Dark Nights: Metal series by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. The Batman Who Laughs Rising board game was created by game developer The Op for their Rising series.

“The multiverse’s disturbing cross between the Caped Crusader and the Joker will be the epicenter of conflict in The Op’s newest cooperative card and dice game, in which players work together and recruit key Super Heroes to dominate a host of Super-Villains,” The Op’s description reads. “In The Batman Who Laughs Rising, a passage from the Dark Multiverse has allowed the most dangerous evildoers to infiltrate Gotham City, and these Dark Knights alongside their menacing leader are eager to do their worst to the city.”

Players can lead a team as Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, or Hawkgirl, each with their own team and abilities. Allies like Harley Quinn, the Flash, and Cyborg can help players complete objectives. They’ll battle the Batman Who Laughs, the Evil Robins, along with evil Batmen like the Merciless, the Murder Machine, and the Dawnbreaker.

The Batman Who Laughs Rising is the fifth game in The Op’s series and features new solo play rules for fans who are playing alone. The game retails for $49.99 and will be in stores in the fall of 2020.
