1970 Overstreet Price: $50
2019 Overstreet Price: $30,000
Known for: The first appearance of the Blue Beetle – though it also contained the first appearance of such characters as The Green Mask, Rex Dexter, Lt. Drake, and more.
Did You Know?: The original Blue Beetle was Dan Garret, who was the son of a police officer who had been killed in action. Garret first began fighting crime without any sort of superhuman powers, but would later gain a bulletproof costume. This Golden Age Blue Beetle had a lot of similarities to the Green Hornet of the same era, leaving his signature scarab symbol behind and sporting a similarly-styled outfit. You can learn more about the Blue Beetle in Guide #49!
