Three of Marvel’s most popular heroes are spotlight books in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation, & Art Weekly Online Auction. The comics section is open until Sunday, May 17, 2020, and all other lots close Monday, May 18.

Tales of Suspense #83 CGC 9.4 brings together Iron Man and Captain America. The issue features the first appearance of the Tumbler, a costumed criminal acrobat and Captain America foe, along with a cameo appearance by Lyndon B. Johnson. Gene Colan did the cover and the art for the Iron Man story, while Jack Kirby did the art for the Captain America story.

Spider-Man and Doctor Doom face off in The Amazing Spider-Man #5 CGC 3.0. This issue features Doom on the cover and an appearance by Flash Thompson who dresses up as Spider-Man, which is ironic since he has bullied Peter Parker. Steve Ditko provided the cover and art for the issue.
