Sweet Tooth, DC’s post-apocalyptic adventure has gotten a series order at Netflix. This marks the third series on the streaming service based on a Vertigo comic.

Described as having “broad appeal, family-friendly, storybook adventure,” the adaptation will follow Gus – a kid who is part boy, part deer – who leaves his forest home to find the world has been deeply impacted by an apocalyptic event. Gus joins a group of humans and other animal-human hybrids to find answers about the world and his own origins.

The show will star Christian Convery (Legion) and Nonso Anozie (Zoo) with Will Forte, Adeel Akhtar, and James Brolin. Jim Mickle (Hap and Leonard) and Beth Schwartz (Arrow) will be co-showrunners and it will be executive produced by Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran.

A planned premiere date has not been announced yet.
