The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #50 took three of the top four spots on Diamond Comic Distributors’ Top Books category for September 2020, the company announced Wednesday, October 21.

The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #50 softcover featuring Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man/Spawn cover was September’s bestselling book. The hardcover edition with McFarlane’s cover grabbed the #2 spot. The oversized Big, Big edition, which features just the pricing data with none of the articles, ads, or other insights found in the standard edition, was #4 on the bestseller list.

“All of us at Gemstone are very proud to have worked on the #1, #2, and #4 books in Diamond Comic Distributors’ top books list for September. The continuing reaction to our 50th anniversary editions has been very gratifying,” said J.C. Vaughn, Gemstone’s Vice-President of Publishing.

The Guide #50, which celebrates the milestone 50th anniversary of the book that is known as the bible of serious comic collectors, went on sale on September 2. It took just a few weeks before the Spider-Man/Spawn hardcover edition and the Big, Big edition sold out at Diamond.

Those interested in getting a hardcover copy of the Guide #50 with McFarlane’s cover or the Big, Big Guide #50 should check with your local comic book shop, as they may still have some in stock.
