This portion is described as the best of the best from their regular auctions with a lot of non-poster items. Highlights include the actual prop Oscar Judy Garland’s character won in A Star is Born, Ferragamo shoes worn by Marilyn Monroe in Let’s Make Love, popular concert posters, and original art including a 1978 Jack Rickard original cover art of Alfred E. Neuman and John Travolta from Mad magazine.
Half-sheets include Duck Soup style B, Day the Earth Stood Still, Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and Vertigo style A.
One-sheet highlights are Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Jaws, Pulp Fiction, Empire Strikes Back 1982 rerelease, Notorious style B, Return of the Jedi dated teaser, and The Birds.
Inserts are Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Jaws, and Gun Crazy.
Other highlights include Jimi Hendrix BG-105 and Grateful Dead AOR-2 concert posters, 2001: A Space Odyssey Cinerama lenticular poster, Star Wars silk banner, Return of the Jedi three-sheet and a 24-sheet, Gun Crazy 8 lobby cards, and Japanese Casablanca.
Three surprising results from Part I of the December Major Auction were Adventures of Robin Hood linen one-sheet for $15,511, Lost City linen chapter 1 one-sheet for $5,250, and Marihuana linen one-sheet for $4,600.
