Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Trailer #2 Released
Dark times lie ahead for the magical community. Warner Bros. released the second trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, previewing the war that’s brewing with Grindelwald at its center.
The trailer opens with a voiceover from the older Dumbledore when he talked to Harry Potter about the value of memory. Grindelwald is still building his followers on a mission to start a war with the Muggles. To thwart his efforts, Dumbledore is assembling a team with Newt Scamander and his brother Theseus, Eulalie Hicks, and Jacob Kowalski.
Along the way, Dumbledore confronts Grindelwald and Credence Barebone in civilized and not so friendly ways. With all of the chaos erupting, that’s about the time that some fantastic beasts join the ranks.
The Secrets of Dumbledore is the third film in the Fantastic Beasts series, which is an offshoot of the Harry Potter movies. In the second movie, The Crimes of Grindelwald, the dark wizard was gathering followers with passionate speeches about the superiority of wizard-kind. Newt and Jacob embarked on another mission that put them in the thick of Grindelwald’s efforts. Meanwhile, the powerful Credence set out to learn of his true parentage, and was told by Grindelwald that he is actually Aurelius Dumbledore.
Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore), Ezra Miller (Credence), Jessica Williams (Eulalie Hicks), and Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander) are all returning for the sequel. Mads Mikkelson has joined the project as Gellert Grindelwald.
The Secrets of Dumbledore will be in theaters in April 2022.
