Disney invites viewers to “Take a ride to the other side” in the first trailer for Haunted Mansion, based on the popular Disneyland ride.

Haunted Mansion starts with single mother Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) moving her family into a New Orleans manor that she soon learns is filled with ghosts. She hires a team of paranormal experts (LaKeith Stanfield, Danny DeVito, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, and Jamie Lee Curtis) to rid the house of the spectral tenants.

The trailer opens with Gabbie warning one of the paranormal team members (Stanfield) that coming in the house could change his whole life. The team quickly encounter several ghosts, including the Hatbox Ghost (Jared Leto), an ax-throwing woman, and the hitchhiking ghosts that appear in the Disneyland ride. They must expel the ghosts or risk being stuck there for eternity.

Directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People), the all-star cast also includes Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Chase Dillon, Hasan Minhaj, and Kurt Yue. Haunted Mansion will arrive in theaters on July 28, 2023.
