The Mandalorian season three is getting a behind the scenes special that will land on Disney+ on June 28, 2023.

“The Making of Season 3” special was announced on Twitter as a part of the Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian series. The special will likely feature interviews with creator Jon Favreau, producer Dave Filoni, and stars like Pedro Pascal, extended footage, and more.

The Mandalorian season three debuted in March 2023, picking up after The Book of Boba Fett with Din Djarin (Pascal) setting out to repent for removing his helmet to get back into the good graces of the Mandalorians. That season visited the Mandalorians’ home world, explored their culture and religion, and featured more Mandalorians, including Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff).

The Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian debuted on Star Wars Day, May 4, 2020. The first season broke down every episode of The Mandalorian season one in an eight-episode first season. It returned with coverage on season two, but at a much smaller scale. In December 2020 “The Making of Season 2” debuted with a look at the whole season, then in August 2021, “The Making of Season 2 Finale” dug into the last episode of that season.

The Disney Gallery series also released a behind the scenes special on The Book of Boba Fett in May 2022 after that show wrapped its first season.
