Samantha Eve Wilkins, aka Atom Eve, is a superhero who was created as a weapon for the government, then later became Mark Grayson/Invincible’s heroic partner and love interest. Created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, she is an immortal with regenerative and resurrection abilities, she can fly is telekinetic, can generate force fields, create energy blasts, and control elements.

She was introduced in Invincible #1 (January 2003) 19 years after she had been created as an experiment to turn an unborn child into a weapon for the government. Erias Brandyworth, the scientist working on the project, felt guilty for what he’d done, faked Eve’s death and placed her in the care of the Wilkins as their adopted daughter.

Samantha’s intelligence shone through when she was a child, and she started discovering her powers when she turned a chicken dinner into a cheeseburger. While practicing her powers, Samantha met Erias who told her about her where she came from. With that knowledge, she continued learning about her abilities and officially became the masked superheroine Atom Eve.

She joined with other teenager heroes, dubbing themselves the Teen Team, and they met new superhero Invincible while fighting the Mauler Twins. The next day at school, Samantha met Mark Grayson and soon learned that he and Invincible were one and the same. The pair made a great team, stopping a bomber at their school, then taking on the Flaxans to thwart their invasion. Soon, the superheroes became a super-couple, eventually getting married and having a family.
