ComicConnect has closed Event Auction 67, setting new records for high grade books and key issues. The auction also produced six-figure results for other key books and original art.

That includes a new sales record of Fantastic Four #48 9.9 for $431,250. Featuring the first appearances of Silver Surfer and Galactus, this copy is the only CGC 9.9 copy in the CGC Census. This sale quadrupled the previous record that was set in 2021.

Wonder Woman produced a trio of top sales including Wonder Woman #1 for $149,500, while Princess Diana’s cover debut in Sensation Comics #1 sold for $100,625, and Wonder Woman’s first appearance in All Star Comics #8 3.5 brought $28,238. Another Golden Age key sale was Detective Comics #1 4.5, which realized $102,637.

A new record was set for All-Negro Comics #1 at $28,750, alongside record-setting sales of Human Torch #9 9.6 (Pennsylvania Pedigree) for $28,232, Planet Comics #50 9.6 for $10,068, Weird Comics #3 9.2 for $25,939, Haunt of Fear #13 9.6 for $4,025, Black Terror #10 9.0 for $17,056, and others. The Golden Age Green Lantern’s debut in All-American Comics #16 set a record of $41,400 for a Restored copy.

Original art sales included Frank Miller’s Batman art for a Dark Knight Returns store display that went for $345,000, Dave Cockrum’s introduction of Storm to the Sentinels in an X-Men #98 page reached $27,600.

Modern sales were represented by Ethan Van Sciver’s battle spread from Green Lantern #25 that achieved $22,425 and Steve Epting’s cover for Captain America #19 hammered for $20,700.
