The teenage witch and the sanguine queen will have a magical vampire weekend in Sabrina the Teenage Witch X Vampirella. The heroes of supernatural comics are joining forces in a comic written by Tini Howard (Excalibur) and illustrated by longtime Archie artists Bill Galvan and Ben Galvan. The crossover comic comes from Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics.

Sabrina Spellman is jonesing for a summer vacation. Her aunts agree to give her a break from the coven and send Sabrina and her trusty cat Salem to housesit in a charming beachside town. Her first order of business it to hide her magical skills from the nosy neighbors… though one neighbor is a bit different than the rest.

Vampirella is the half-vampire Daughter of Drakulon who is split between her vampire instincts and her natural heroic tendencies. When she senses a new threat, Vampirella also recognizes that the perfect ally is nearby. Vampi and Sabrina will work together against the new challenge.

“I love Vampi – as a goth girl growing up her look and vibe was always important to me. I think Nancy Collins’ work was some of the first I ever read about her and I love her voice under Nancy’s pen – smart and curious but also clever and funny in a very cool way,” Howard said. “As for Sabrina, Chilling Adventures is one of those comics that inspired me so much, I had no idea that kind of reinvention was possible. Getting to write a version of Sabrina that is an exploration of her dark powers with the look of a classic Archie beach party is so much fun.”

Sabrina the Teenage Witch X Vampirella #1 will feature covers by Eric Powell, Francesco Francavilla, Sebastián Píriz, and Mike Rooth. Bill and Ben Galvan will also contribute an homage cover, and there is a mystery blind bag with rare variants and other surprises.
