Paramount Pictures and Legendary have dropped a new trailer for Street Fighter showing off the action, comedy, and over the top fight scenes inspired by the video game. The trailer takes a deeper look into Ryu and Ken’s complex relationship and shows more of the fights and special skills in the World Warrior Tournament.

It starts by setting up that Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) is trying to prove that he is just as good a fighter as Ryu (Andrew Koji), and Ryu is struggling with the dark power that turned him evil in the video game series. Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits Ryu to join the tournament to save Ken and hints that something bigger is happening behind the tournament.

The trailer goes inside the World Warrior Tournament to show characters using their special skills – Dhalsim (Vidyut Jammwal) stretching his arms and E. Honda (Hirooki Goto) using the Hundred Hand Slap. We see Balrog (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) in action, there’s a joke about Guile’s (Cody Rhodes) hair, and Blanka (Jason Momoa) uses his fireball. M. Bison (David Dastmalchian) is seen at his villainous best, Juli (Rayna Vallandingham) shoots a rocket launcher, and more crazy moments are teased.

The Street Fighter franchise began in 1987 with the release of the first arcade game designed by Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto. The game stars martial arts masters Ryu and Ken as they compete in a worldwide martial arts tournament. Dozens of games have followed, along with animated and anime shows, live-action movies, manga, and comic books.

Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai (Twisted Metal), and also stars Olivier Richters, Eric André, Mel Jarnson, Andrew Schulz, and Orville Peck.

The movie arrives in theaters on October 16, 2026.
