Heritage’s weekly comics and art auctions feature Spider-Man’s first appearance, a signed Todd McFarlane page, high grade keys, and a page by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers. The Comic Book Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, September 6-8, 2026, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction ends on Wednesday, September 9.

High grade issues, Spider-Man’s debut, and a signed Secret Wars #1 are leading the comic book auction. There are CGC 9.8 graded copies of Ms. Marvel #1, The Sandman #8, and Spectacular Spider-Man #1 – all of which share the top spot on the CGC Census. A JSA Authentic Autograph copy of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1 CGC 9.8 signed by Jim Shooter is the second highest graded copy. The comic highlights are rounded out by Spider-Man’s debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 4.0.

Comic and manga art greats like Jack Kirby, Todd McFarlane, and Hiroshi Kaizuka have works in the comic art auction. A signed McFarlane Amazing Spider-Man #319 story page shows an exhausted Peter Parker and a frustrated Mary Jane Watson reuniting after a long day. Kaizuka’s Manga-Kun story page 4 is from the Sumo Koshien storyline in the classic sports manga, and Val Mayerik’s Conan the Barbarian #138 title page starts a new adventure. Kirby and Dick Ayers’ The World Around Us #31 page depicts the development of hunting tools used by early humans.
