Cat Staggs, Lee Weeks, More Join Baltimore Comic-Con
The Baltimore Comic-Con is coming up soon on September 25-27, 2026, and the show is still adding more creators to the guest list. Dave Johnson, Jesse Lonergan, Andy MacDonald, Eric Powell, Cat Staggs, and Lee Weeks are the latest guests announced for the convention.
Johnson is well known for drawing all 100 covers for the 100 Bullets noir series. He has crafted covers by Batman and Detective Comics, worked on the Superpatriot: Liberty & Justice miniseries, and in Deadpool. Johnson the principal founder of “Drink and Draw,” a program for professional artists that has spawned an art book.
Lonergan is a comic artist who uses experimental layouts in his work with mainstream and independent publishers. He created the wordless comic HEDRA, and the graphic novel DROME.
MacDonald is an artist who has worked with DC, Marvel, Oni Press, and many other major publishers. He has drawn issues of Wonder Woman, Detective Comics, Justice League, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. His work is in Rogue Planet, Doctor Strange, Multiple Man: It Will All Make Sense in the End, and he is now working on If Destruction Be Our Lot.
Powell is a writer and artist best known for his creator owned series, The Goon. He co-wrote Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? with true crime author Harold Schechter. Powell has worked for major comic publishers and launched his own publishing company, Albatross FunnyBooks. He is currently developing a Goon animated feature film.
Staggs is the artist of Smallville Season 11 and creator owned titles like Crosswind and Dark and Twisted: Death Mask Vol. 1 and 2. She is now working on Death Mask Vol. 3 and Joker/Harley Criminal Sanity-Secret Files. Staggs has worked on Through, Death of Superman, Adventures of Supergirl, Wonder Woman ’77, X-Files, and Orphan Black. Her art appears in Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman, The Vampire Diaries, Phantom Lady, and Star Trek. She spent over 20 years working on Star Wars projects and over 12 years working with John Carpenter.
Weeks is an artist and writer who had his breakthrough in the “Fall of the Kingpin” storyline in Daredevil. He is also known for Batman, Superman, and Hulk. He worked on the Batman vs. Elmer Fudd comic and recently worked on Superman: Home Again. He has also taught at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art.
“We just keep bringing the talent!” Baltimore Comic-Con show promoter Marc Nathan said. “These are some fantastic artists, all with their own creative niches in the industry, and all with accolades for their work. If you’re an art fan, you will not want to miss this year’s show!”
