Patsy Walker is the Marvel hero known as the Hellcat, who possesses superstrength and speed, is a skilled fighter, and uses retractable claws and grappling hooks as her weapons. She has been a member of the Defenders and Avengers, fighting street level criminals and big time villains since the Bronze Age.

But long before she was the Hellcat, Patsy Walker was the star of teen humor comics. Created by Stuart Little and Ruth Atkinson, Patsy debuted in Miss America Magazine #2 (November 1944), then appeared in several teen humor books through the Silver Age. Just a few months after she was introduced, Patsy got her own title, Patsy Walker #1 (January 1945), which ran for 124 issues through December 1965.

Overstreet Pricing Editor Yolanda Ramirez did a recent valuation update on Patsy Walker and found that the first issue has seen a nice jump in value. The book in 9.2/Near Mint- is now priced at $8,900, which shows a $500 increase from the last edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. Overstreet Access also provides pricing for books above the 9.2 level (the Guide stops at Near Mint-) and Ramirez has listed the book at $71,200 for a 9.8 copy.
