Wytches Vol. 1 by writer Scott Snyder (Absolute Batman) and artist Jock (Batman) is getting an expanded and remastered edition from Image Comics. The Wytches Vol. 1: Pledged Edition trade paperback will be in stores in the fall of 2026, ahead of the series adaptation from Amazon.

It collects Wytches #1-6, Wytches: Bad Egg Halloween Special, material from the Image! #7 anthology, and will contain what Image described as “a significant portion” recolored to match the animated show.

The six-issue limited series debuted in 2014, starting with the fact that innocent women and men have been executed for witchcraft to protect the secret that real witches do exist. They are ancient, hardly ever seen and the few people that do see them rarely survive the encounter.

The comic follows the Rooks family as they relocate to Litchfield, a remote town in New Hampshire. The family is hoping for a fresh start after enduring a trauma, but instead find something horrifying. Witches are in the woods outside of town, they are more dangerous and more frightening than the Rooks could have imagined, and have their eyes on someone in the family.

“Wytches was a deeply personal book, born out of the real fears I had as an anxious parent. It’s one of my favorite projects, and creating it with Jock made it all the better,” Snyder said. “So, I’m incredibly excited to present it again in this new, souped up edition with all the stories we’ve told over the years collected in one volume. Plus, the new colors by Matt Hollingsworth make this the definitive version Jock and I meant to tell. This is a must-buy for any Litchfield fans, and those waiting for the TV show!”
